Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu - Qazi Dalan

On the birth anniversary of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu today on Dolapurnima 1429 Bangabda, realize - "Sri Chaitanya - As He Really Was" _ 'Qazi Dalan' [Oppressing the Qazi].

The rising popularity of Sri Chaitanya and the rise of Hindus under his leadership caused headaches for the Yavanas. So Chand Qazi issued an order to stop chanting the Vaishnava name and performed cow slaughter.

Enraged, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu surrounded the Kazi's house armed with his Gaudiya councilors and ordered them to break down the Kazi's house and set it on fire.

When the chanting of Kirtan was banned by the order of Chand Qazi in Nadia and the brutal persecution of the Vaishnavas began, Sri Chaitanya Deva gave in fiery speech:

"We shall break the house and doors of Qazi, we shall openly chant Kirttana and see what harm he can even do. Nobody of us will have a single drop of fear in our mind."

~ Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Qazi Dalan Parba 📜

The destruction of the Qazi's house by armed Gaudiya followers on the order of Sri Chaitanya is detailed in the Chaitanya Bhagavatam by Vrindavan Dasa.

The aged Krishnadas Kaviraj wrote his famous book “ChaitanyaCharitamrita”. Vrindavan Dasa's Chaitanya Bhagavata is clear:

Mahaprabhu roars in anger, 'hey where's the Qazi? Pick him here fast and cut off his head. The Qazi flees with backdoor to save his life. 'Break the house' - Prabhu says frequently. All the external rooms were demolished.

Mahaprabhu orders to fire inside the house of Qazi. All those mlecchas should die burning in fire. Encircle the entire house and put fire in all four sides of it.

Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was NOT an unarmed non-violent preacher of love, he was an armed Gaudiya Vaishnava warrior. Of course, he gave deeksha to a yavana Haridasa,

He stood against social casteism and militarize the united Hindus of Bengal, and above all he could build a distinct Dharmic Empire by standing firm against i$lamic aggression with the militancy of his army.
