Today is the 1430th coronation ceremony of our Emperor Gaudeshwar Maharajadhiraja Sri Shashanka Deva.  Following the postulates of Suryasiddhanta, ParamShaiva Samrat Shashanka Deva introduced the national calendar system of the Gaudiya Bengali nation - "Bangabda" or Shashanka Samvat.
