Samrat Danujmardan Deva - Deva Dynasty & The Banghala Samrajya

 Samrat Ramnath Danujmardan Deva - Construction of the Bāṅghālā Sāmrājya, the rule of Hindu Deva dynasty and integrity of the Bāṅghālī nation.


 Samrat Danujmardan Ramnath Dev (1344-1417 AD): Architect of the Bāṅghālā Sāmrājya and the father of Bāṅghālī nation

Maharaja Danujmardandev, the seventh king of the Chandradwip Deva dynasty, established the Sanatani Bāṅghālā Sāmrājya uniting several fragmented regions of Bengal, which had been separated by invasions of Delhi Sultanate. Deva dynasty administrative centers were established at various places to rule the Bāṅghālā Sāmrājya,

● Gobindapur- Chandradwip, Bangabhum.
● Nabahatta - Bardhaman Bhukti, Rarhbhum.
● Srihatta- Poir.
● Nabachar - Dhaka, Bangabhum.
● Harikoti- Medinipur, Rarhbhum.
● Pandunagar- Gauda, Varendrabhum.


 
Conquest of Rarhbhum (1373 AD)
 
Forming a united alliance with Raja Mahendra Singha Gop of Gopbhum and Raja Haricharan Das Bhaumik of Tamralipta-Hijaldwip, Bangadhipati Maharaja Danujmardandev, invaded and conquered the Ilyas Shahi center 'Walayet e Satgah' (اولایت آ ساتگا). Saptagram port was recaptured by a joint attack of Bangaja and Rarhiya forces and Hindu Deva dynasty rule was established in whole of Rarhbhum.

Restoration of Varendrabhum (1417 AD)

Maharaja Danujmardandev restored Varendrabhum in 1417 AD by defeating Sultan Jalaluddin Muhammad Shah of Bihar-Lakhnauty. The whole of Rarhbhum, Varendrabhum and Bangabhum were united to form the Sanatani Bāṅghālā Sāmrājya. He was the first to authorise name of the inhabitants of this empire as Bāṅgālī.

Extention of the Banghala Samrajya established by Maharaja Danujmardan Deva, 1417 AD 

After the conquest of Pandunagar, as the Emperor of the independent Bengali nation, Mahāśhakta Raja Danujmardandev introduced his own coin engraved in Bengali script (Baṅgalipi), in which was engraved - 'শ্রীচণ্ডীচরণপরায়ণ/श्रीचण्डीचरणपरायण/Śrīcaṇḍīcaraṇaparāẏaṇa'

Reform of Bengali social system:

It was during the reign of Maharaja Danujmardan Ramnath Dev that the first unified 36 Kūlas
and 3 Śhrēṇīs formed an united Bāṅgālī nation. He reformed the Kuleen Pratha of Bengali society like the Pala dynasty Gaudeshwar Parambhattarak Dharmapala or the Sena dynasty Gaudeshwar Ballal Sen. On the initiative of King Danujmardandeb, the Brahmin communities of Kulin Varendra, Kulin Rarhiya and Bangaja Shrotriya was united and their Panchopachar Pujapaddhati was determined. Danujmardan Dev re-established the Bangaja Kayastha Samaj by equating the society in Chandradwip. The popular name of this society was 'Bakla Samaj'


According to Dwija Bachaspati's 'Bangaj-Kuljisar-Sangraha'-
Ascending the throne of Chandradwip, Danujmardan Dev gained the honour of Gosthipati in Bangaja Kayastha society. Maharaja Danujmardandev himself was a member of the Maulika Kayastha branch of the Bharadwaj clan of the Deva dynasty. Under his leadership the Chandradwip aristocracy occupied the best place in Bengal.
