The ruler of Sripur who is famous on earth in the name of Kedar Ray, is very opulent who use to plunder the wealth of Moguls. His army and cannons are numerous, no Nawab can battle him. If the Nawab-Aswar attacks his kingdom, he kills & drives them away. He sacrifices many buffaloes to the Dēvī & was never afraid to sacrifice heads of Yavanas.

⚔️ 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 :

★ Man Singh was convinced of the necessity of extinguishing the independence of Maharaja Kedar Rayy & sent Manda Rai with 100 war-vessels for battle. In result, the combined Mughal fleet was defeated by Banghāli-Kōṣā attack & Manda Rai was killed. 

★ In 1604 AD, Man Singh to make a 2nd & stronger attempt thus sent Kilmaq Khan to subdue Kedar Ray. Maharaja Kedar Rayy, equipped with fully 500 men-of-war besieged the Mogul General Kilmaq Khan at Srinagara. The Mughals were defeated & Kilmaq Khan was taken to prisoner. 

★ 8th November 1602, the Arakan fleet appeared at the port of Dianga, where King Kedar Ray's general Manoel de Mattos was in a foist  which bore the brunt of attack in which many Arakanese were killed. 

★ Arrakani Sultan Selim Shah dispatched 150 war-vessels to conquer Sandwip. Maharaja Kedarnath Deva Ray, equal to the occasion sent 100 vessels of Cosses (Kosha). In the battle, King Kedar Rayy's Bikrampur army came off victorious & they captured 149 of Arrakani vessels. 

★ Fr. Nicolau Pimenta & Fr. Du Jarric, described the Sandwip island ruled by Maharaja Kedar Rayy where 200 ships were annually laden with salt & which, indeed supplied to whole of Bengal with salt. Mugs, Moguls, Portuguese & Bengalis joined the war for its ownership. 

★ In the Portuguese chronicles, Maharaja Kedar Ray is mentioned as "Cadaray" & honoured as the 'destuidor de orgulho' or the Pride destroyer of the Moor rulers of India.
